Great Wonders of Egypt
Great Wonders Of Egypt believes in developing and promoting new forms of tourism that has a linkage with cultural heritage and the safe guarding of archaeological sites and guarantees that our business will bring the greatest possible benefit to all the participants – travelers, the host population and the tourist business, without causing intolerable ecological and social damage for Egypt’s unique heritage. We embraced the concept of sustainable tourism that optimists the economic and other societal benefits available in the present without jeopardizing the potential for similar benefits in the future. We believe in paying back to the world we travel, through promoting cooperation between all affected parties and through managing the cultural and natural resources to the negotiated benefit of all interested parties in the community. Great Wonders Of Egypt would like to take the lead in local and regional action, not through ordering the local communities or forcing prohibitions on them but through exposing them and the travelers to positive experiences that will raise in them the feeling of responsibility.

Wadi Environmental Science Centre
The Wadi Environmental Science Centre (WESC) is a registered Egyptian non-profit organization that was founded in 1998. WESC is dedicated to progressive outdoor environmental education that empowers students to re-define the relationship between self and surroundings. WESC uses environmental education, as a cross-cutting theme, to enhance the learning opportunities for students in Egypt. Using collaborative, hands-on, experiment-based inquiry, WESC guides students through a learning process of discovery and reflection on topics including: water, waste, energy, pollution, biodiversity, and sustainability. The Centre receives over 14,000 students a year.
At WESC, we recognize the urgency for Egyptian educational reform and see the creation of a wider and deeper awareness, consensus, and understanding of environmental science amongst students as a valuable opportunity to bridge the gap between education and the real world. In this way, we can have an impact on Egypt’s citizens by changing attitudes and actions about the sustainable and appropriate use of our natural resources, how we can advance suitable technologies, and influence policy making in educational reform and environmental conservation.
